Plan to bring only what you need. Remember that you have limited space and you may be sharing this space with a roommate. Soft, collapsible luggage is recommended for packing since it can be easily stored in your room. Large or awkward items can be shipped after you arrive. Since we do not have storage space to accommodate packages or parcels, those shipped prior to your arrival will be returned. If you will be purchasing new appliances to bring, consider televisions, computer or mini-fridges that are rated for energy-efficiency with the Energy-Star label.
Bring a variety of clothes for rainy, warm, cool, hot and dry weather.
And don't forget hangers!
Winter - is mild and brings alternating overcast days where drizzle is common. Storms that bring an inch or two of
rain per day can last several days, occasionally interspersed with clear cold days. Average temperature ranges from,
33 to 46 degrees Fahrenheit.
Spring and autumn - months are generally temperate with usual ranges from the low 40s to the low 70s.
Although the clear majority of Eugene's rainfall occurs during the winter months, it is still common to have
light rains and overcast weather during the spring and autumn months.
Summer - brings daily highs in the low 80s, overnight lows in the low 50s.
Typically summers will have at least one very hot spell. During this spell temperatures can reach 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
While Oregon is famous for its rain, very little rain actually falls during the summer months.
